Solution :

Our client encountered this error during Qlik Oracle to SQL Server replication, and it's not very descriptive.

It turns out that other error messages followed the message below, and were very helpful including :

replication task encountered the following error: Failed to connect to database.

Indeed, at the time of the incident, the database was unavailable.

You should check if there are other error messages explaining the issue, such as the unavailability of the source database.
